Issun Boshi

 Issun is the son of Mr and Mrs Taijiri, an old couple in rural Japan that was desperate to have children. He is only one inch tall, but has the proportions of a ten-year-old despite his age. When he was young, he hoped to become a famous samurai. Whenever they can afford it, he loves eating green tea mochi and onigiri. You can often find him practicing with his training sword in the yard. He is very headstrong and determined, willing to come to your aid if you so need it. Realizing he will never grow, he set off to the Capitol at age 17. 

Junji Warui

 Junji is a centuries-old demon that stalks the forest around the capitol. He is at least 8 feet tall, brimming with brute muscle, and hunkers down in a cave. His skin is flaming red, wearing nothing but a panda skin loin cloth around his waist. A pig-ish snout and large horns with a wide froggy mouth adorn his face. His black-irised eyes are piercing. The claws on his hands are deadly and he carries a large, spiked club. Overall, he has competition weightlifter's proportions. Powerful muscles under fat. He likes prowling the dirt road that leads in and out of the Capitol. Any wanderer that happens to be traveling close to the Capitol while he is hungry is sure to be eaten.

Assignment 5: Feature Design Roughs

For my story, I chose to adapt 'Issun Boshi', a Japanese tale of a boy born only one inch tall. Something nice and obscure to hopefully have no repeats in class. Still kinda iffy on the designs of these two. I like Issun (Right), but have some slight reservations on his hairstyle. The oni he encounters (which i've named Junji Warui) has been giving me headaches and I'm still not quite decided on the body. I kind of like the proportions, just not crazy about the hands. :/

I honestly thought these were due Thursday, so I only had enough time to do Harvey. In light of two other people having Ferrets, Atbash needs a re-design anyway. :|
